TICKET TO RIDE

BRIEF
To create an identity for the continent Europe.

RESEARCH
During our research we found out that inspite of Europe being a culturally rich and diverse continent, it has few things that the European countries have in common. One is the historic heritage, namely the Medieval culture with it’s distinct visual style and intricate mythology. We were very fascinated by the bizarre mythical creatures. Another common thing for all European countries is developed transportation systems. We found that Europe was the place where trains and buses were invented.

SOLUTION
We created an integrated transportation system that allows people to move freely across countries.

Design Theme

We chose to blend the bizarre mythical creatures with vibrant colors to create something strong and bright. We designed for three modes of transportation, namely Air, Land and Water.

For each mode of transportation, we created an element that is related to that respective transport, and repeated that element to create a patterned background. We focussed on the design of tickets and the body of the transportation systems and also posters to promote “Ticket to Ride”.
